This is a great tower defense and it's great that it's on PC and it's great that it's so damn cheap! Just know before you buy that it's a pretty bare bones port. From my limited experience with the android version the PC version is identical, which is fine. I'm not gonna complain, it's five ♥♥♥♥ing dollars! It's just that the interface ends up feeling a little awkward. You have to do a lot of clicking. The most annoying result of the port being that in order to figure out what a tower was I had to click it first. Right click to return or cancel would have been a nice addition, but instead you have to click a cancel button. Or click a build button, then click where you want it, then click again, then click your heels together. Just a hell of a lot of left clicking, you understand? No right mouse, no keyboard shortcuts, no graphics options, in fact the options menu if i remember correctly just has volume sliders. But what do you want? It's radiant defense and it's five bucks. Go buy it, it's worth it. Just don't be disappointed by how tablet-ey it feels. It's worth it still.. This is a good game, I guess. However, because of mistakes I made in playing levels 1-3, I cannot get through level 4, and there is apparently no way to reset the game to level one. All I can do is keep playing level four over and over again, losing each time. This is not fun. I realize it is my own fault, but there seems to be no way out built into the game. So you have to study how to play it properly before you play it the first time, or you will get stuck with a game you no longer want to play in a very short time.. It's really cool. It's not a game that I would spend all my time on, but it's a game you can play quietly on your bed if you have a laptop and plan and use your brain to defeat aliens.I played this on mobile for awhile, and it's way better here. One thing that I would recommend is taking your time on planning what your base is.As a long time player, these are the things that'll get you:-Shielded aliens-Armoured shielded aliens-Regen. shielded aliens-Super shielded aliens-Crystallite aliensBasically, the shielded aliens are hard in groups. I use the saws to rip shields off the aliens, but they only last for so long.. I have always been a sucker for a good tower defense game, and Radiant Defense is no exception. It is an Android game ported to the PC, but don't let that fool you; there is a level of enjoyment and challenge to the game that makes it more than worth playing.There are no real differences between this and the Android app, save for all the DLC is already part of this package. If you aren't sure whether you' like it, give it a run on the Android - the base game on that platform is free through the Google Play store.. Very meh Baroque as a Joke's review pretty much says it all. A comment on the review also adds that it was a free mobile app with easy wave, easy wave, impossible wave - just to get people to pay for extra content (which apparently is all present in the Steam version). I can't be bothered to fact check that though or even tell you what that content is. In fact, I can't even be bothered to think of anything witty to say about this game. Those furry yeti looking things would make comfy merchandise pillows I guess.. Agree with other reviews that this game is too difficult. I've played loads of Tower games that provided a challenge but were beatable with a quick re-think of my strategy for that particular wave of enermies. With this game, it feels like if you don't start putting down the perfect sequence of towers from Wave 1, you're doomed to fail by mid-level, and the wave reset won't help because you won't have enough resources to build what you need to. Everything else about the game, i.e. music, graphics, choice of towers etc is great.I'm all for a challenge but this is just frustrating, and I gave up.. Best Tower Defense game i ever played, and Very Colorful. Some usability and UI issues keep this game from being great. You need too many mouse clicks for some basic actions, and lacks feedback on some others, keyboard shortcuts also seem to be absent, I guess it's the legacy a game ported from touch based mobile platforms.Other than that its an excellent Tower Defense type of game, addictive gameplay, some light humor and above all beautifully design graphics with a glowy tron-like art style and amusingly cute characters.. Great fun. One the best, if not THE best, tower defence games on mobile, now on PC (although available in the Windows App Store for free, you have to pay to get upgrades). The mix of different types of aliens that respond differently to different tower-weapons makes managing what they throw at you each wave a difficult balance.Save yourself the hassle, know what you're paying for and have a frustratingly good time.
